Comprehensive Ophthalmologist

The University of Rochester Eye Institute invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Comprehensive Ophthalmology. Applicants must have graduated from a fully accredited ophthalmology residency and be certified or eligible for the American Board of Ophthalmology and licensure in the State of New York. Academic rank and generous guaranteed salary including start-up funding is commensurate with experience and credentials.

Responsibilities include patient care, didactic and clinical training of residents, and opportunities for basic and clinical research. The successful candidate will be expected to provide medical and surgical care and to further expand premium IOL services. As part of the largest group of ophthalmologists in the region, the successful candidate’s responsibilities will also include consult and emergency services at Strong Memorial Hospital, along with the provision of services to a growing VA population.
