You Can Make a Difference
If you are looking for creative ways to deliver messages about glaucoma, the National Eye Institute (NEI) has what you need, from brochures and postcards to public service announcements and even a PowerPoint presentation. Healthy Vision Month is a great time to encourage your colleagues, constituents, and community to make vision a health priority.
NEI recommends that people at higher risk for glaucoma get a comprehensive dilated eye exam every one to two years. Those at higher risk include African Americans over 40; everyone over 60, especially Mexican Americans; and people with a family history of the disease. If you work with those at higher risk for glaucoma, then the Healthy Vision Month resources are designed just for you.
You can make a difference, and no effort is too small.
